Medical Information on the Internet Workshop, 5-7 December 2006, Capitol Hotel, Dubai – UAE

Diane K. Kovacs, a Web-based Internet Trainer, is the President of Kovacs Consulting Internet & Web Training in USA. Diane has a wide professional experience in different educational institutions & wrote many books and articles. Diane was a presenter in many conferences and has been involved in special scholarly internet projects and got many awards and honors

- Participants will end the session with a completed collection development plan for the health and medicine e-library collection they wish to develop. We will begin by defining "alternative" & "complementary".
- How do we know what is "Good" information about alternative medical traditions or complementary medicine practices?
-  How will you avoid and teach others to be critical about fraudulent or exploitative information?
- You will learn about and use information resources that clarify and explain different CAM Traditions.
Web sites that provide warnings of dangerous practices, side effects, or complications are emphasized
